Another Excuse to Eat Chocolate…

….  or a deeply spiritual Christian holiday?  Your call, but Easter is coming either way.  My Sunday school days are long over, but I will devour a dark chocolate bunny – ears first of course! And, because on this totally crazyass holiday said bunnies lay eggs, I will eat those too!  (How non-vegan of me, eh?)  My favorite sugar-bombs at this time of year used to be Cadbury Creme Eggs, with their crisp chocolate shell and ooey gooey insides.   For so long, I have gone without (fine by me because have you read the ingredients on those things? Ick!) but no longer.  Meet the vegan version:

I got these beautiful mini-eggs at The Vegan Store about a week ago, and they are INCREDIBLE. They taste JUST like the original, in that same insanely sweet way that makes you want to do a happy dance, but they’ve got only 5 ingredients and are tiny enough that eating one or two won’t make you crash 30 minutes later.  Really, they are magic.  Apparently I’m not the only one who thinks so because they seem to be out of stock right now, but I suggest we all just keep hitting refresh on that link until they’re back. The Vegan Store has lots of other Easter candy too, but it’s just not Easter without creme eggs! Or maybe I’m thinking of Jesus…. nope, definitely creme eggs.

ROFLMAO!! Yeah, definitely creme eggs over Jesus. I’m not a big sweets-eater, but I may just have to find these and try them 🙂

Sadly we’ve been informed that they won’t be getting any more made in time for this Easter. 😦 Lots of other great vegan Easter goodies out there though! I’ll be posting more of my faves soon!

Not to worry, vegetarians can find excellent gourmet cheese.
The fourth area where Romantsch is spoken, offers a
satisfying soup made of barly. This is my favorite scenic drive in wa & the road winds through sections of tall
trees which create a canopy over the road with filtered, speckled sunlight, entering through the car windows.
