Chocolate and Coconut Yumminess!

I figured I would stick with the cold dessert theme this week. I started off by talking about sorbet on Monday, so I figured today I would talk about straight up ice cream! That would be ice cream of the coconut persuasion. Trader Joe’s  started to carry their own brand of coconut-based ice cream!

It comes in both chocolate and strawberry. Being a big chocolate person (of course!) I have only tried that one. I can attest to its deliciously smooth creaminess that just melts on your tongue. It has a rich chocolate flavor that would go well with any number of toppings (can you say peanut butter and banana?) and holds up very well in flavor all by its lonesome, right from the container!  At $2.99 a pint, it’s also a bargain!  This might make up for them no longer carrying the mango sticky rice dessert (maybe).

Go get some!

PS Sorry for not having a photo.  This stuff doesn’t last long in my house and I didn’t want to steal a photo from someone else. Trader Joe’s also doesn’t have product photos online.  Oh well, you guys will just have to go get some of your own!

Mmm that looks good! I’ll have to try it next time I swing by Trader Joe’s!
