Vegan Bake Sales Rule!

The popularity of vegan bake sales, the proceeds from which have benefitted a large number of institutions internationally, has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years.  I love the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale for helping to get sales organized all around the globe, but charities need cash more than once or twice a year, and independent bake sales have been popping up all over in order to fill the gaps, with San Francisco (the whole Bay Area, really) leading the way!

That’s the flier for our latest offering, which is happening this Saturday – just in time to sate Dad’s sweet tooth for Father’s Day.  I was hoping to be part of the organizing team for this event, but sadly I’ll be out town.  (I did, however, donate all the napkins and compostable containers.) But, don’t let my absence keep all you Bay Area folk from showing up and supporting!  There will be some amazing bakeries, as well as infamous home bakers, bringing their goods, and all the money raised will be split between the San Francisco Vegetarian Society and the Milo Foundation.  You can’t beat the combination of downing some sugary treats and supporting two amazing organizations at the same time, so go!

No vegan bake sale in your area?  They’re easier to put on than you might think. Local charities are in desperate need of funding, as national and international orgs often get the most attention, so check out the tips HERE and go for it!   Have a sweet weekend everyone.
